MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS
GENERAL MEMBERSHIP
Application for General Membership in CREW Fort Lauderdale/Boca Raton is open to commercial real estate professional women and men who meet the following criteria:

Active employment in commercial real estate for a minimum of 5 years. Our Bylaws identify the "field of commercial real estate" as professional services in the investment in, ownership, development, or operation of income-producing property, including land, and improvements to the land and rights to use for business purposes."

Provide Two verifiable references within the commercial real estate industry. References must be from sources other than the applicant's current employer. Current CREW Members and/or Board Members are eligible references.

Provide Attendance at a previous CREW meeting or function.

Submission of total membership fees at the time of application.
AFFILIATE MEMBERSHIP
Application for Affiliate Membership in CREW Fort Lauderdale/Boca Raton is open to anyone whose profession does not meet General Membership's requirements. Affiliate Members are non-voting members. Affiliate Memberships are limited to ten percent (10%) of the total Membership.
Emerging Professional
It is defined as two years or less experience in the commercial real estate industry, meeting the above criteria.
Applications will be reviewed and presented to the Board of Directors for consideration at the next board meeting (usually the second Tuesday of each month).
You should receive notification shortly after the conclusion of the board meeting. Upon approval, you will be invoiced for the administrative processing fee ($25) and Membership Dues as applicable.
The Sponsorship Director will contact approved Affiliates regarding sponsorship commitment and sponsorship opportunities. Benefits begin upon payment of dues and expire on December 31 of the same year, unless otherwise noted by the agreement. Dues paid to CREW Network and CREW Fort Lauderdale/Boca Raton are not deductible as charitable contributions for Federal Income Tax purposes but may be deductible as business expenses.

CREW Network membership expires annually on Dec. 31. Requisite dues are assessed annually, non-transferable between individuals, and non-refundable. Therefore, payments to CREW Network and its member organizations for membership dues, event registrations, sponsorship, and other services are not deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes. Still, they may be deductible as a business expense. Please consult your tax advisor.
